Nursery Crimes.

The idea behind this blog stemmed from a random conversation I had with my girlfriend late last night. I have no recollection of how the subject came up, but for around half an hour we were stuck on this topic, trying to wrap our heads around it.

Nursery Rhymes.

We all knew them when we were kids. Or if you have kids, you probably know them.

But upon saying them out loud, I have noticed the lyrics are kinda sinister sounding, or just as if someone on a mad acid trip tried to write a rhyme.

Think about it;

'Rock-a-bye-baby'

Theres an infant in a tree, then the branches break, and "down comes baby cradle and all."

'Hey Diddle Diddle'

= ACID TRIP!

'Jack and Jill'

Two kids going to get water, but unfortunatly ends with a fractured skull.

'Humpty Dumpty'

The death of an egg..

'Three Blind Mice'

Cruelty to handicapped animals.

'The Old Lady Who Lived In A Shoe'

Essentially a poor woman, with a bunch of kids, who beats them every night before they go to bed.

These are just a few, and just the literal translation of them, the actual meanings behind some of them is just bizarre.

Gees Diana, you have spoilt it all for me.

All my life I thought Jack and Jill was about two kids fetching a pail of water, now your telling me jack didnt break his crown -he was actually poppin Jills cherry !

I always knew there was something skanky about jill...

Haha, I knew there was many different meanings behind them Diana, I just think the literal translation of them is pretty funny.

But definetly if you read between the lines (however bizarre) there are some underlying issues.
