All luscious ladies aside, babe-ogling beauty contests like Miss USA and Miss Universe are bloody strange events full of behind the scenes whackiness and bizarre triple-standards.

Why just recently 22-year old Miss Italy hopeful Alice Bellotto was kicked off her country’s contest when fairly inoffensive pics of her posing in lingerie hit the judges’ desks. Basically, the beauty was shown the door for being too hot. Um, makes sense doesn’t it? Not!
