Darwin based Arts Communications Officer and Dance & Drama Teacher Elli Vukasovic, 27, claimed the coveted 2010 Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia title at the National Final held at a packed Shooters Lounge Bar & Nightclub in Surfers Paradise on Friday night - March 19, 2010.

The judging panel was led by last year’s title-winner Amanda Hinchcliffe, who subsequently went on to make history by becoming the first ever Australian finalist to beat the world’s elite swimwear models for the World Title, and they certainly had their work cut out for them.

However, after watching the finalists first strutting their stuff in the Theme Wear and then in the all important Swimwear section, the judges’ had reached a decision; Elli had displayed all the qualities they were looking for. She embodied head-turning beauty with elegance, poise, confidence and personality.

The Miss Hawaiian Tropic Australia Final was the culmination of an exhaustive 4 month long nationwide model search which saw more than 800 hopefuls enter. The stunning national finalists representing top entertainment venues across the country converged on Surfers Paradise for a week of fun, media events and rehearsals leading up to the spectacular national final. They all had their sights firmly set on the prestigious national title and the right to represent Australia in the World Finals later this year.

Elli is 5’6” tall with brown hair and green/blue eyes. She lists doing a photo shoot in a bull pen, knee high in bull droppings, and receiving a pet buffalo for her 21st birthday as possibly the weirdest thing she’s ever done or experienced. Elli represented the Hot Potato Nightclub in Darwin.

Elli’s prize package includes a return trip to the world finals including accommodation, meals and spending money. She further receives a glamour makeover from Ellie Wright and a photographic portfolio package from Rich Photographics.
