I’ve been on The NRL Footy Show for three months, but I also rotate the role with two other girls, which was my idea to spice things up with a different girl every week.

The Footy Show fans love to clap in time with any music that gets played, so why haven’t we seen a remix of kiddie-favourite If You’re Happy And You Know It?
Ha ha! Oh God, why not? It would be great for the crowd, so I should take it up with the producers! It’ll be my own idea, of course… I thought you were going to ask me sexy questions?

Have you received any hate mail for replacing the iconic Footy Show band, The Nevilles?
No, but I have experienced some negative feedback on a footy website wanting to know why the show needed DJs. It was after the YouTube footage of me went online…

What YouTube footage? You’re not the person doing the “Evolution of Dance” stand-up routine, are you?
Ha ha! No, it was during the jersey segment, where fans can send in and get me to wear their local club’s jersey. I stuffed my lines badly and the section was cut, but somebody still uploaded it.

You’ve seen Peter Sterling in make-up — for exactly how long do they have to wax his forehead to achieve that blinding shine?
The last time I checked, it was a few hours to achieve optimum shine, but I think that they take longer streaking Fatty’s hair with red dye. It’s not easy having the hot ranga look, but he gives it a fair go.

Hot ranga?
Yeah, well… I’m sure someone thinks that he is.

Did the producers specifically pick you because of the unique spelling of your name?
Well, I like to think it was my great on-camera ability, but you’re probably right. I didn’t even realise I had been picked. My website — www.girldjs.com.au — sent through profiles for 30 girls and I somehow got chosen. It was all very surreal.

Finally, was part of the reason you joined The Footy Show because the team is largely populated with ugly men, so it makes you look even hotter?
Ha ha! Definitely, it’s great for my self-confidence.
