IS NSW RACIST...

Just when the world was getting over our Red Faces ‘black face’ incident along comes Joey Johns with what can only be described as the latest ‘bone head’ racist bombshell.

Parramatta and NSW Blues star Timana Tahu has publicly stated the reasons he decided to leave the NSW squad, and has also alleged former teammate Andrew Johns directed racist comments at more than one Queensland opponent.

It seems that not only was Greg Inglis the target of Johns’s racist outburst but there are now allegations that Israel Folau may have also received some racial abuse from the Blues assistant Coach – Johns has since stepped down from this role.

In such a multicultural country such as Australia it’s great to see a high-profile person such as Tahu taking a stand and standing up for what’s right, even if it means missing out on playing in the NRL’s greatest spectacle, State Of Origin.

It’s yet another mark against the NRL’s name, in a time where its greatest players are changing codes to the AFL and the popularity of Soccer continues to grow. This latest drama will no doubt have NRL executives in damage control yet again.

Tahu and Johns - Happier times.

What do you think, did Tahu do the right thing or should he still be playing for NSW?

I think Tahu needs to put on his big girls pants and deal with it ! For gods sake ! How many times would things like that be said amongst footballers. To quit the NSW side is just ridiculous. But let him quit and put someone else in replace of him that isnt gonna carry on like a girl and who wants to play football instead of making trouble. It happened, Im sure Johns has apologised so deal with it and play dam football, instead of letting the team down !

By saying a comment about another person's colouring is a plain example of John's being the douche many people think he is. What colour we are, where we're from, where we're going, doesn't matter; we're all equal. Tahu definitely did the right thing & NSW should be proud of him.

Players and Coaches who think comments such as John's are fine need to shutup and do what they're there to do, play & coach NRL.

fat, white, black, red, skinny, yellow, pom, aussie, yank, bogan. they are all meant to hurt peoples feelings.my question is why are some insults exceptable and some arn't. we should cut it all out and get on with the game of football. get off they bandwagon woodduck and have an opinion of your own.

What a lot of rubbish. Go to the USA and see how Black People are treated. THAT's Racism!

The problem with Aussies is we still have an "Old Bastard" culture. It's not meant to be nasty, but we do need to understand it's less and less acceptable.

You're an onion conanchin, calling someone fat isn't a racist slur. Totally different things.

I say good on him for taking a stand, it's pathetic that in this day and age stupid racisim like this still goes on.
