The brand-new Iron Man 2 trailer blazed onto the internet last week, and it’s loaded with more explosions, jet-boots, sliced-open F1 cars and Scarlett Johansson than any man could reasonably deserve.

The original film, of course, was a bigger hit than bacon-flavoured beer glasses, so they’ve turned this one up to 11, with more baddies (Whiplash, Justin Hammer and what looks like a few dozen ill-tempered Iron Man clones) and even more goodies (Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury, plus Iron Man amigos Black Widow and War Machine). Throw in a high-speed aerial dogfight and a sweet new “suitcase suit”, and we’re expecting our adrenal gland to explode right there in the cinema, showering the front row with bourbon-infused grey matter.

Iron Man 2 is due to hit Australian cinemas at the end of April.
