Type of Game: Bigger, better and cooler is the only way to describe the sequel this wild-west-meets-cyberpunk, open-world, RPG shooter. Pants dropped where we stood as we drooled over the awesome, cell-shaded art style. Basically, you pick one of four characters, select a weapon, and unload a frenzy of bullets into forays of mutants and mechs. Bolstering your weaponry with junk bits you find and upgrading your unique powers is rad, and kept us beefed-up for the increasingly heavy onslaughts. The mission-and-loot concept is basically Diablo for first-person gun-nuts, which is best played with mates online, ‘cos you can help each other on the battlefield. The vast world of Pandora is an engrossing place to explore and full of weird, scary creatures - kinda like if Star Wars was fused with the cast from The Shire. Wild, mindless fun!
