Mortal Kombat is back and it’s friggin’ gore-tastic! We know, ’cos we got to play the brutal beat-em-up — even though it won’t be out ‘til next year.
The series has been around for a while now, so what makes this one so special? Blood, guts and green bile, that’s what!
The franchise has gone back to the bestial savagery which made the original game infamous. New special modes, like x-ray and slow-mo settings, are spine-snappingly nasty — and creative new fatalities will have you sprinting to the nearest cubicle for extended bouts.
Fans will also be pleased to know that most of the original characters, like Scorpion, Raiden, Mileena and Kung Lao, return.
Only one question remains — will it get past Australia’s wowsery R18+ classification rating ban? That, fellas, is yet to be determined…
